I guess I'm just that lucky. I learned some things about the glowing eyes too, by the way; according to someone else here, the run in you told me about with the vampire might've been caused by a virus. Now the glowing eyes in people is being caused by being possessed by slugs.

i can't believe i'm asking a question that sounds like this, but

is there any possibility the virus is derived from the slugs?

I guess it could be, though I'm not sure if you could create a virus from a creature. More likely it would be a poison or a parasite that the slug also carries, I think? I'm not a biologist.

[He knows some basic neurology stuff for use in psychology but that's the extent of it, outside of his general medical knowledge.]

I think you're right that there's a link there, so figuring out what it is is a good idea.

Same, though it ended up being a lot easier to fight the Null with magic and a gun.

[A zap there, a shot to the processor here, it hadn't been too bad once they'd figured out what they were doing. The sheer numbers had been terrible, but this whole thing with the monsters is both huge in scale and much harder to deal with.]
