[There's a few more tap-taps, but this round isn't going so well. 'You Lose!' the game bellows. Sato finally turns his attention from the game, glancing over at Lance. In fact, if Lance recalls, Sato's hand was injured in exactly the same way back during the city wide party. And judging from the blood on the bandages, still bleeding.]
Oh. [His hand, right. Sato looks a little saddened. Truthfully, he's not sure why other people care, but that doesn't mean he can't play it up a little.] Yes, some people here have their own twisted ideas of revenge.
[Looking at the injury again, Lance vaguely recalls fuzzy memories of something being wrong with Sato's hand during the party, but everything other than their conversation about Battlefield was mostly drowned out by the ridiculous amount of alcohol he'd imbibed.
That actually makes him more confused--and concerned, despite knowing what Sato's like--because it's been a few weeks since then. How is it still bleeding?]
You might need stitches.
[He's no doctor, but he's had a lot of injuries that required stitches before and a wound not closing enough to stop bleeding for weeks definitely seems like it falls under that category. Of course, it's extra strange on someone who's supposed to be seemingly immortal, but he won't mention that yet.
As far as Sato's answer itself Lance isn't buying the sadness, but he's interested in the reply and lets the concern stay on his expression.]
Revenge? For what happened your last post to the network?
That's right. He'd rather mutilate someone than engage them in a fair fight. [Sato shakes his head solemnly again.] Of course, I'd thought about stitches, but it seems like a waste of time for me. [Considering they'd vanish every time he died, and given the number of times he dies, a bandage just seemed simpler.]
But I think he have better things to do than worry about that, don't we? Look at what Delight and Rage put together! [His sad act is certainly surface-level convincing, but the way he just smoothly and suddenly changes emotional direction to pleasantly excited makes it definitely less so.] There's not much for new games, I'm afraid, but I haven't played most of these for months. They even added a select screen for multiple games on one cabinet. Very nicely done, I thought.
[Switching immediately from emotion to emotion is one of those things Lance knows to look for, so it indeed makes the entire thing even less convincing overall, but Lance is entirely willing to drop the subject of Sato's hand for now. He'll just file it away mentally, and focus instead on the games.]
That is nicely done. What all is available? I'm familiar with Mortal Kombat, but some of the older games I don't have that much experience in.
[But he'd played a ton of Mortal Kombat while he was in college; there was an arcade in his university's bowling alley.]
They added all the games that people have coded into our phones, and there's a number of games I had on my Vita when I arrived." Sato exits into said select screen, going down the list. There's nothing past mid-2013, but a reasonable selection of games off his SD card, mostly platforming and action/shooting, with a few oddball games here and there (did he really just scroll past Project Diva F?)
"What about Spelunker? It's a remake, but it still has that level of challenge that makes it really fun."

I don't think I've ever played it, but I'm willing to give it a try.
[Although Sato is more than welcome to go first.]
