But, in the short term, there may be a way to handle the situation that is still emotionally fulfilling for you--and therefore easier to deal with--while avoiding any sort of confrontation that would set back all the advances you have been making while here.

You have a life here. You have friends, and projects, and goals to accomplish, and their arrivals are not more important than any of those things. So get some sense of revenge just by spitefully doing what you would normally do, because they aren't worth the time and effort and don't deserve to interrupt your life here.

Lance used this tactic a lot when he was younger, before the mastered the art of letting go of hatred, and he thinks that latter skill is a little too lofty for Ephemera to shoot for right away.]
