[Lance, despite his initial intent on being difficult, lets the feed change over and rolls his eyes at her grin. He's a little more tan and his freckles are definitely showing more after his boat adventures, but otherwise he looks pretty much the same as last time they saw each other.]

[Lance raises his eyebrows and mouths 'wow', but he can't even pretend he isn't still amused.]

Fine, it is kind of a mess. Sea breeze and all.

[Like that's the main reason. But give him just a moment to choose a particular song and he'll launch into it suddenly, still pretty out of practice since he doesn't sing much in Hadriel but clearly someone who's developed the skill.]

[Oh, he's good, actually. Kyna just listens, chin propped up on one hand, looking amused, and she doesn't interrupt him until he stops.]

[Lance grins a little at that, and might be blushing slightly too; he's not fake modest about this talent or anything, but the compliment is still nice.]

I'm sure you'll get a chance soon.

[He does a lot of things worth making fun of, after all.]

Whatever. You totally get me back for it all the time. Are you gonna become, like, a rugged sailor or something now?

Oh yeah, you know it.

[He says it with a clearly exaggerated tone that means there is no chance in hell--or in Hadriel--that he's going to become a sailor of any sort, let alone a rugged one.]

I think I can just check off 'boating' as an experience and therefore never have to do it again, and I'm happy about that.
