Everything that makes them who they are, their remorse, their grief. It ends. I've only ever seen it twice. Once with a vampire named Damon, who, over time switched his back, if it was ever flipped in the first place. And once with his brother, Stefan. Klaus made him turn his humanity off. [ She remembers back, pursing her lips. ] But, what was worse was when he broke through. He did something I never thought he would ever be capable of.
