[Lance, meanwhile, actually looks to be in a bit better health than usual; he hasn't been drinking--due mostly to avoiding the bar--and has healed from his run-in with monsters in the arena, but more than that even despite the event he has a sense of calm that he hasn't been able to achieve for some time. One of the big things that has been bothering him during his time here has been resolved, at least in one sense, and so although he hasn't been sleeping all that well he's otherwise feeling more normal than he has in a long while.
So he'd decided to take up staying at the Clinic a bit, especially with people injuring themselves destroying whatever reflective surfaces they can find, and has managed to hide pretty much everything in the building that could possibly show some sort of grim future. He's lounging somewhat casually in a chair in the lobby, the Clinic otherwise deserted for the moment, scribbling away in an empty book when Maketh enters.
...Not who he was expecting to see, and he thinks what she says should really be more his line.]
I work here.
[Just saying, although it's neutral in tone and really not the most pressing thing to focus on.]

Are you alright?
[She's at the Clinic for a reason, he presumes.]
